2024/5 in Review: A Year of Creativity, Collaboration & Unforgettable Projects

Putting together an end-of-year showreel might feel like the obvious thing to do—but looking back, it’s made us realise just how epic this year has been. Corny? Maybe. True? Absolutely—and we’re not apologising for it.

We’re incredibly grateful to collaborate with such inspiring partners, and this year has given us the chance to work on projects that push boundaries, spark joy, and create genuine impact.

With the Football Association of Wales, we’ve done everything from filming grassroots clubs in North Wales—where pitches had mud trenches and everyone was out digging drainage holes just to get the match on—to collaborating with Jockey Cam to create a bespoke virtual camera experience for a 5-year-old international game mascot to wear on his Cymru bucket hat. That feed was streamed live to his older brother in hospital with his poorly sister. Huge shout-out to Jockey Cam for the impressive hardware, Tiny Welsh for capturing the third-person action, and Rob Dowling, Jason Webber and Carys Ingham at the FAW for bringing the idea to life.

Other highlights include filming the Cymru Alzheimer’s mascot, the first-ever Gary Speed Cup, live streaming from FAW HQ, building online coaching resources, producing case study videos with incredible affiliate partners, joining the BE Football mentoring scheme with Claire Ewing leading Laurence and the Mentors, covering multiple But     e Energy and JD Welsh Cup matches, travelling to North Macedonia for an international Cymru game, and interviewing Elise Hughes at Crystal Palace ahead of the Women’s Euros. Honestly, the list could go on.

We also had the privilege of supporting Street Football Wales, working alongside Charlotte Barrell to film, produce and edit a documentary about the inspiring Marie—charting her journey from a breast cancer diagnosis to competing at the Street Football Homeless World Cup in Oslo, Norway. A project that brought together Marie’s loved ones, Street Football, EatSleep, local government and the FAW, with more screenings and exciting plans still to come.

And it’s not just video—we also launched a pretty awesome podcast. The Gaffas offered exclusive access to the JD Cymru Premier European Play-Offs, narrated by Steff Garrero from The Socially Distant Sports Bar.

Beyond the work itself, we also managed to squeeze in a move to our new office in Chepstow. We’re absolutely loving having a studio space that we’re slowly making our own, and it’s been brilliant working so closely alongside other inspiring production companies, including Equine Productions and Jockey Cam—now known as Povora.

We also opened our doors to several young people through work experience placements, something we absolutely loved doing and are keen to grow even more in the year ahead. Supporting the next generation of creatives is something we really care about.

Our creative adventures extended beyond sport too. We worked with Lucy Ferguson MBE and Meditorite, producing high-end projects alongside exceptional talent including Luke Collins, Mike, and Rowan Chitania. We collaborated with legal marketing legend Haley Evans from Harding Evans—and even met Sam Warburton—while producing a series of legal FAQ videos.

Some of our most fun content came from our continued work with Nathaniel—from a Father Christmas MG sleigh, to Mike Bubbins “not so stuck in the 70s,” and a go-kart cup-draw race that hit national press. Plus, Laurence and his family drove to Lucerne in a stunning new MG to create a vlog showing just how easy it is to take the road trip of your dreams.

Last but not least, we’ve been busy working with Heritage Interactive and Red Mountain on a secret project—and we’re counting down to the grand opening of what will be a culturally important moment for the nation of Cymru.

And that’s still not everything… there are so many exciting projects in the pipeline that we can’t wait to shout about very soon.

2024/5 has been full of creativity, collaboration and unforgettable moments—and we can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

A shout-out to our crew, presenters and editors who work tirelessly to make every piece of content authentic and of the highest quality. We value your hard work, professionalism, motivation—and your sense of humour. Because let’s face it, work should be fun.
