Exploring the World of Media with EatSleep Media - Work Experience with Tilly Green

I chose to do my work experience with EatSleep Media because it is a multi-media company that produces a range of content that I am really inspired by and I felt I would gain a very different experience compared to what I am usually used to. It allowed me to explore another side of graphics and media, which really interested me, as it goes beyond just design and into real-world production, filming, and live content.

From the moment I started, EatSleep Media made me feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was so friendly and supportive, and they made me feel like part of the team rather than just someone on work experience. Because of this, I really enjoyed my time there and felt confident getting involved in different tasks.

EatSleep Media creates professional digital content for businesses to help promote their products, brands, and films. They also produce high-quality documentaries and provide live streaming services, including live streams for the FAW (Football Association of Wales). Seeing this side of media production was exciting and eye-opening, as it showed how much planning and teamwork goes into every project.

The company also works closely with Equine Productions and has links to a successful TikTok shop graphic designer, which was really interesting to learn about. I had a video call with Jane Spooner the graphic designer who talked me through her own journey into graphic design and showed me some current design for Yass Clean products. . Seeing how EatSleep Media connects and collaborates with other creatives and brands showed me how important teamwork and partnerships are within the industry.

During my week, I learned so many new skills, including live streaming, video editing, and adding graphics to videos, which was one of my favourite parts. I loved watching the footage come together and seeing how graphics can completely change the look and feel of a video. Being involved in hands-on tasks helped me gain confidence and better understand how creative ideas are turned into finished content.

Overall, my week with EatSleep Media was an unforgettable experience. I learned valuable new skills, explored a different side of graphics and media, and gained a real insight into the creative industry. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity and loved being part of such a hardworking, creative, and welcoming team.
