ESM x #BeActiveWales
Sport Wales knew the importance of keeping people active and looking after their mental health during the lockdown caused by Coronavirus.
With people stuck at home and with limited access to sporting activities, Sport Wales asked EatSleep Media to come up with a series of videos demonstrating different types of home workouts for people at all levels of fitness. From elite athlete and winter Olympian Mica Moore to occasional 5-a-sider Dan Jardine, we made sure there was something for everyone.
Sport Wales also wanted an honest conversation about mental health and what people can do if they’re feeling down, struggling to cope, or even just looking for advice to keep their minds active. So we enlisted some familiar faces - Jamie Baulch, a former Olympic athlete and double-Olympic silver medallist, and Team GB swimmer Jazz Carlin.
We couldn’t send cameras and producers, so our expert videographers guided our presenters and panelists through filming on their own, often with nothing more than a mobile phone or webcam.
As the world adapted to Coronavirus, ESM adapted to new filming conditions and found new tools for creating and delivering content remotely. The series was the cornerstone of Sport Wales’ #BeActiveWales campaign throughout lockdown.
