Peggy's Story
Peggy’s Story
Sport Wales wanted to explain the wider benefits of sport on communities across the country, whilst also showcasing how sport can have a positive impact on different people's lives.
A perfect example of this is Peggy. EatSleep Media produced a film that allowed Peggy to tell her story of her recovery from illness and how golf helped her to regain her core strength, balance, and to improve her general fitness as well as giving her valuable social opportunities.
The film also highlights how an active lifestyle can save health services millions of pounds. ESM used Peggy's personal story to engage audiences and then supplement that with an official voice on the wider impact of sport to provide a video more engaging than a simple infomercial.
The video was delivered in two versions, one with English subtitles and graphics and one with Welsh, to adhere to Sport Wales bilingual policy.
The content from the film has been viewed more than a million times across multiple social media and video sharing platforms.
