Pitch Footy at the Euros

Pitch Football at the Euros

Pitch Sports are a tech company that have developed the football fan app, Pitch Footy. The app brings fans together and gives them a platform to share their voice and debate with other fans in a fun environment.

They wanted to use Euro 2020 to help grow the app and asked ESM to produce a daily TV show that covered the UEFA European Championships. The show featured the latest news, results, upcoming games and any other gossip from around the tournament. And... with the UK in lockdown, there was only one thing we could possibly do.

We went to Portugal. For a month! Pitch Footy at the Euros was fronted by England, Manchester United, Liverpool, and West Ham legend Paul Ince, Esports, TV and radio presenter Iain Chambers, and Sky Sports match day reporter Abigail Davies.

The format was a conversation dripping with personality, charisma, comedy, some special guests, behind-the-scenes gossip, and plenty of banter. Guests included TalkSPORT presenter and former European boxing champion Spencer Oliver, film legend Ray Winstone, former safe hands David Seaman, and more.

The programme was broadcast on the new channel Sporty Stuff TV throughout the tournament and was well-received by supporters.
